HERE THEN, NOW THERE

This exhibition introduced two themes into the oeuvre, firstly, that of the Easel as an object and subject in its own right, the altar and bearer of imagery and secondly the Painting fetish objects; palettes, brushes and frames studded with nails – the banal objects of painting made magic and then used as props and subjects for paintings.
